The first line of our constitution states that we are “an international student organization dedicated to providing young professionals and future leaders with a platform to engage with one another”.
I am proud to say that GCC Waterloo has always lived up to the spirit of “connection” in everything we do.
From the very beginning, GCC Waterloo has sought to strengthen the social and professional ties within the student community by offering everything from semi-formals to entrepreneurial showcases.
As a student-led organization within one of the most innovative universities in the world, we are well aware of the potential that lies within each student and of the limitless opportunities that await them. Our goal has always been to develop and connect talent within our communities – to bring together those who want to learn and those who want to share; to align innovative solutions with complex challenges; and to match the leaders of tomorrow with the opportunities of today.
This year, we aim to further our reach by helping foster connections between post-secondary students all across Canada, beginning with our third annual OPTIMIZE case competition. OPTIMIZE will assemble the best and brightest students and challenge them to deepen their understanding of the most challenging topics in finance, international business, and technology in today’s rapid-paced global economy.
I have had the fortune to experience for myself the connections that GCC Waterloo has built. Ever since I joined the GCC team in my first term at the University of Waterloo, I have been consistently amazed and inspired by the passion, talent, and spirit that resonate within our chapter. Just as our members have developed into young professionals, our chapter has developed into a leader in the student community.
am honoured to represent our team in sharing our values and goals, and invite you to explore what our chapter has to offer.
Welcome to GCC Waterloo.
President, GCC Waterloo
